State of the State Response

Brad Little leads the same way a bank robber leads a posse: he’s running scared just trying to get away with the loot.

Remember last year when he signed that $450 million tax gift to the wealthy? He said he thought it was a bad idea. He did it anyway.

If you want a contrast between how I would govern and how Mr. Little leads, I will never pass a law that I know is a bad idea.

When I am governor of Idaho, I will lead in a way that prioritizes our children and young people and workers trying to make lives for themselves.

As this Legislature proceeds, I will listen to the people of Idaho. I will support policies that keep rural hospitals, libraries, public schools and critical transportation infrastructure working for the people who the government is meant to serve. I will call out bad policy and I won’t let corrupt politicians bully me, or bully any of us!

We are all in this together and it will take all of us to undo the damage that a reckless, scared governor has led us to.

Let me put it this way: I won’t lead like an outlaw who is just watching her back.
