Idaho Voters Are Listening
Idaho has gotten to know Brad Little very well … and Idaho doesn’t like him.
Out of 289,000 voters, more than half voted for someone else last week!
What scares Mr. Little energizes me.
The primary election proved what I’ve heard everywhere: Mr. Little’s casual kiss-ups to his party’s anti-freedom fringe has folks madder than a box full of bumble bees.
Parents want a governor to support kids—and teachers. Cities want a governor to support small businesses—not just giants trying to crush them. Homeowners want a governor who won’t let the Legislature gaslight us while it taxes people out of their homes. Early-career workers should be able to find affordable housing.
Yes! I am energized! The primary proves that people are ready for better candidates with better ideas.
That’s all we need—voters who are truly persuadable. And, voters who turn out in November aren’t nearly as smitten with one party or another as primary voters often are. After a summer of rising inflation and crippling gas prices, folks will want the candidate who finally puts them first.
What’s that look like?
First off, billionaires didn’t need Mr. Little’s $450 million tax cut. I'll give that to schools, rural hospitals, wildland fire suppression, community-based safety programs, and roads and bridges. I’ll drop the $50 million annual gift to private and religious schools.
I’ll stop letting the Legislature drive doctors out of state. I’ll stop the bullying of LGBTQ+ folks. I’ll work to end the culture wars. And, I’ll be a governor who cares about public lands because I actually hunt and fish on them for real.
I will be a governor who fights for freedom. I will be a governor that fights for regular folks.
And more than half of Idaho’s voters are ready to vote for that.
