Let’s Blame Brad Little for Record High Gas Prices

If you fueled up over Labor Day, you know the sickening feeling of watching the pump price spinning up faster than cherries and diamonds on a truck stop slot machine.

These days, slot machines and gas pumps serve the same purpose: make sure the House always wins. 

I blame Brad Little.

Why blame a governor for something he has no control over? Well, he does have influence that he is too corrupt or too scared to use for us.

In fact, Idaho’s governor has enormous power.

Mr. Little used that great power to ban our rights as casually as he’d swat a fly. And, last year, he handed a $450 million gift to billionaires. For regular folks, those thing mean more State control over our lives along with  impoverished public schools, roads and bridges left in disrepair, an unfunded wildfire budget, and many of us too poor to find a place to live.

Of course, fuel prices rocketed because Trump started bombing Iran back in February. But Mr. Little has refused to speak out about it. Mr. Little never squeaked about Mr. Trump’s proposal to flood Idaho’s beef market with foreign beef either. And, Mr. Little hasn’t said “boo” as Trump’s unilateral tariff war with Canada kills trade with Idaho’s biggest trade partner.

Don’t take my word that Mr. Little has MAGA Trump influence, take his word. President Trump gave Mr. Little his “Complete and Total endorsement" for the Republican primary. Under “Accomplishments,” Mr. Little’s website boasts: 

Gov. Little has collaborated with President Trump on implementing his agenda in Idaho.

Since Mr. Little lets federal agents tyrannize Idahoans, "collaborator" seems a fitting designation for him. Last week, he agreed to even broader collaboration with ICE agents. 

His silence on rising fuel costs makes Mr. Little a big collaborator, sticking it to the farmers and truckers with high diesel prices. His collaboration raises prices in the grocery store too.
